Esta é a opinião de um colega de Dawkins na Universidade de Oxford, o professor de história da teologia Alister McGrath, ex-ateu, doutor em biofísica molecular, pesquisador sênior do Harris Manchester College. Ao lado de Joanna McGrath, professora de psicologia da religião na Universidade de Londres, ele escreveu uma resposta ao livro de Dawkins. Recém-lançado pela Editora Mundo Cristão, O delírio de Dawkins é uma contra-argumentação contundente.
